Him: Hey
Me: Hey
Him: How's it going?
Me: I'm just hangin at home, watchin a movie
Him: Hey, what is this prayer thing about tomorrow?
Me: Well, our cell group prays at our building together Wed and Sun mornings
Him: What time?
Me: It starts at 7, but at 7:25 we join up and pray together
Him: Morning or night?
Me: Morning
Him: I have two problems
1, I dont know where the building is
2, I dont know how to pray
When he told me that those were his problems I got that feeling where you kind of laugh because of how cool God is sometimes. We have been praying for this guy for just 2 weeks and haven't even mentioned to him about Jesus or things about God. We were just trying to build relationship with him and the next thing you know he's hunting me down wanting to know more about God and prayer! I am blown away at God sometimes and once again knocked on my behind by the power of prayer.

This is the cover of our "Basics of the Faith" book that we take new Christians through. My brother in law Iosif designed it.
Over the past couple of months, one of my major tasks has been the collecting, writing, editing, formatting, designing and binding of our church's Sunday School curriculum so that the people can have in book form a sort of student guide for taking notes and following the outline.
It has been a whole lot of fun for me. I didn't know that I liked to do this but I have found that I really enjoy it. The curriculum starts with "Basics of the Faith" (7 weeks) and then goes into "Encounter with God" (6 weeks), then "School of Disciples" and "School of Leaders" (we are working on getting these down to about 6 months)

A little family, a little cell group
My brother-in-law, David just celebrated his birthday with a party, cake, friends, family and the works.David is great; about a year ago his brother Iosif started to really invest in him and took him under his wing. David began to come to church, get involved and started to enjoy having a relationship with God. Now David is leading a team twice a week to pass out invitations and is a key actor on the church drama team. This guy has amazing potential.

Ionut (pronounced yo-noots) has a 3 week old child, making me an uncle (Ionut is another brother-in-law) for the first time in the history of the world. The baby's name is Filip.

This is my cell group. We have a great time. My guys range from 15 to 23 years old. We are looking forward to a great year, where we will continue to learn more and more about God and each other and bring new people in to experience the goodness of God and true fellowship.

A great visit

Left: We recently had a wonderful visit from my parents and brother from Clovis, CA. They stayed with Emma and I for 6 days and celebrated their 30th wedding aniversary here with us. We through them a surprise party with all of our friends and family here. We truly had a great time as we were able to spend time with both mine and Emma’s families, as well as allow my family to see what Emma and I do here. They were very encouraged to see what God is doing in Targoviste with a group of on fire young people.
We are about to enter year #4 of our Internship Training Program “Project Mobilization”, and we have 4 students in mind for this year. We are very enthusiastic about investing in these young people and taking them through an intense “boot camp” for God’s Kingdom. We are aiming this year to emphasize discipline more and more in our lives: spirituall, physically and mentally.
Summer Intern Program

This year, for the first time, we have tried something new in our annual Internship Program “Project Mobilization”.
We decided to run a summer program that would be opened up to all of our young people, not just high school graduates.
The response we got far exceeded what we expected, as 35 of our up-and-coming servant leaders have signed up to be trained in the areas of: Guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboard, voice lessons, video editing, photoshop and drama/skits.
We are very pleased with how things are going and hope to continue this each summer as well as begin next year again with the full blown 5 month program.

Thank you Sandals Church College Group!!!

Thanks to the young people of Sandals Church in Riverside CA, over 50 young people in our church have new clothes for the summer.
We were given an opportunity to ship over these hundreds and hundreds of items of clothing, and before we knew it, the clothes just started coming in. The generosity of this college groups will not be forgotten.
In Romania, just like anywhere else, young people love to wear nice clothes; however, in Romania, nice clothes tend to cost more than they do in the US while the salaries are 5 times less.
Thus, many young people will save up their money for months just to purchase 1 t-shirt. This is no exaggeration. So we thank you all for giving from what you have to bless others.
Our church thanks you and prays God's blessing in your lives 100 fold.
